AN EXTRAORDINARY ACCOUNT OF THE BLIGHT RECOLLECTED BY PRIVATE ROBERT SMITH

An Exhaserbated Account of the Blight at San Sebastian Sept. 1813

"We was locked in cells, the braggarts, the French had dragged me in after a musketball must’ve shattered me foot. The shot left me indeed, in & more pain you could eva fathom. I spent who knows how many nights in ’ere scratchin at the walls lookin to carve me way out. Mornin came one day & they dragged a body to the gate & in horrible english they ’aid "ziss was not done by uman mands." Mista frog ’ere tried to get us to fight, for Boney’s France! We politely declined keepin to the King’s shilling, but we couldn’t give up the opportunity to point the muskets to the Frenchie’s backs. Anyways we made out of the fort & immediately these men blood droolin over their mouths onto their shirts, a lot of them bein French with holes in ’em the size of their ’heads. They all put their eyes on ’even the sickly lookin French & ran at us. We cut ’em down. We made out of the fort down to the city below. Every step weave or turn a Frenchman would be torn in ’alf or eaten away. The problems arose when they started munchin us, anglos! Of course I made such ground and none of them touched me. I lead those men out of that hole with just me musket & haversack. The Frenchmen were practically bowin down to ’ere knees beggin "Monsieur pleaze do not let me die!" By mid mornin only I, a few of us, & a couple of froggies made it to the city walls. One of them stuck rockets em Congreve boys light was ’ere. I used it to draw a royal ship in the bay & it worked. Not before the blast attracted all those man eatin cannibals. The Frenchies all fell, as I lowered me lads to safety on a crane lift. A jolly boat picked them up, but for me? I fought maybe two hundred of em, cut them all down. I made a dive for open water over the wall & made for the boat.

PEACE TO RENEW

Extracted from Mathno, The Foreign Minister most honorable The Marquess of Londonderry

Powers still that still see fit to wage war have decided such is futiley wreckless in the new presence of the new foe that grips Europe. The empires & states that collaborated on the renewal of peace are as follows, The United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland, the Empire of France, the newly gazetted Kingdom of the Netherlands, Austrian Empire, Kingdom of Denmark Norway, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Italy, Kingdom of Prussia & of most notably the French Empire.

Cooperation must be priority for the salvation of Europe. A notable concession involves The French Empire to concede the northeastern territory of Flanders to be developed into the newly recognized Kingdom of the Netherlands while in return a provisional exchange for 70,000 muskets, 7.5 million pounds. An agreement was ratified to provide included nations with English, Dutch, Austrian, Prussian, Danish, French, soldiers to any threat that deems to jeopardize such countrie’s sovereignty. Such call has already been made by the Austrian Empire who deems threat to Vienna. Franco Anglo Prusso forces have been allocated to repel such threat.

A PIECE THAT REFLECTS UPON SUCH NEWS BRING LOGIC TO SUCH

PEACE for but who? Europes cry has gone unchecked for a year & a half? Who is left to enjoy such peace? France is but too crippled to stand upon herself & in our negotiations we’ve seen fit to provide her with British cash & a desire to throw our men to, fight for alien nations, into a pit of disease, sorrow, and death! Indubitably we have found ourselves on the worst end of the staff. Russia, the germans, the poles, have all seen fit not to write to us! Soon France, Austria, Prussia will join upon them. Prussia herself held together with trembling hands, her capitol destroyed in but days. There is, but no reason to deploy our men & flail our money to this pathetic state of affairs.
